Detailed Description: Township Tour
This tour will touch your heart and awaken your inner spirit as you discover the sad but also positive history of Cape Town and its people.
Visit District Six, and experience the history attached to this part of Cape Town, a story about people who have been removed from their homes, and sadly separated from even their language.
Experience the former grey areas in Cape Town, known as Kayalitsha, Langa and Gugulethu, where self-constructed houses fill the landscape, people living on the bare necessities but with pride and hope in their hearts for the future.
Our contribution to their lives, even through tourism, creates their inner worth once again. . . and will help the proudly South African dream to become a reality
"I stand before you filled with deep pride and joy - pride in the ordinary, humble people of this country. You have shown such a calm, patient determination to reclaim this country as your own. And joy that we can loudly proclaim from the rooftops: Free at last!"
Mandela, May 2, 1994, echoing Martin Luther King Jr., after winning the first all-race election in South Africa.
