Due to popular demand I have decided to start writing this thing!! Only spent a day and a half here, but was lots of fun! Really humid and muggy but a good change from cold sydney.

Went to swensons, which is the bomb- have a look for yourself ( they have awesome looking desserts. Hung out with some family friends and stayed at their house.

The only full day I had there I spent going to look at cool buildings...I know I'm on holidays but singapore has some really nice things! Went to the new marina bay sands which opened like two weeks before and for all you interior/archi kids reading out there-it's def worth seeing. There are some really cool design features and the whole of the upstairs pool area has an amazing view over the city.

The other main thing that I went and saw was the Design, Arts and Media building at NTU. All I can say is that I wish the design building at UTS was half as interesting as this!!!! Although I think our students would run amok up and down the slopes....but at least we would have some grass area!

Last stop really was Marche's and coffee bean and tea leaf-it's like the glora jeans of singapore. Marche's is a swiss themed restaurant which would have interiors students amazed at how detailed the whole place is! The whole concept is that you order your food, they cook it and you come back to get it...but you all have a little credit card which they swipe and they charge you the amount debited off the card at the end of your meal...pretty interesting!!

That's all from the tiny island! 12 hours (or so) later and I was in Cairo!
