Nothing better then waking up by the beach. Got up nice and early and went for a good run on the boardwalk along the beach. To our surprise we found a sweet wave and his name was Flowrider. It was probably mans greatest invention. The three of us got an hour to rip on it but to our surprise it was harder then we had anticipated. After a good day of the flowrider and some studying on the beach it was time to head into the city for the meeting. Its always nice to check out different congregations along the way, get the chance to meet new ones. San Diego was definitely worth the stop and a place we would all like to go back to.
San Diego which means Saint Diego in Latin. As we drove into the city we wondered why there was so much traffic at ten in the morning. After awhile we got to the source of the problem, which was the biggest parade i have ever seen. From massive air balloons of cartoon characters to marching bands. The downtown was practically shutdown to hold this parade for a college football bowl. The parade slowed down around lunch so we headed to a couple surf spots. It was nice to see some nice sandy beaches with some decent surf but the water was still a bit to cold for us as we were saving ourselves for warmer water. With surf shops everywhere we had to check some out and stock up on surfing supplies. In one of the surf shops we checked out, Josh found the most amazing deal of a lifetime on a surf board plus everything in the store was twenty percent off. Since he found the deal Josh had first dibs, after thinking about it and touching it for a long time he could not justify buying another new board without trying his other one out. Being Portuguese i could never turn up a good deal i snagged it as soon he gave me he go ahead. After a good day around the town we were tuckered out and found a spot by the beach to rest.
