While we get ready, it almost feels like the amazing race is coming up....we love that show! So - here's our pre- take off photo in some of the few travel clothes you'll be seeing in the next year (trying to pack lightly)! Luckily, we won't need to race as much as the people in the show!

8/11/08 London to Abu Dhabi

8/14/08 Abu Dhabi to Johannesburg

9/21/08 Johannesburg to Istanbul

10/26/08 Thessalonika, Greece to London

11/10/08 London to Bangkok

Ahh, Madrilenos await...!
oh, a week in Madrid, how wonderful! Spend a little time in the Prado, if you must; sip a cafe in Plaza Mayor and stroll the Puerta del Sol (have a cafe in one of the stand-up shops in the morning and get your goodies in El Corte Ingles food mart), but all that is just the surface... visit the seedy Plaza de Santa Ana in the evening where all the bars are open to the street (near Puerta del Sol). Oh, and the Royal Palace is worth a look, don't forget the Armory below. The University district is fun for lots of reasons, too. You MUST siesta, oh darn, and don't even try to club before 10pm. Those folks know how to live! And so do you, my oh so buenos amigos...!

wonderful pictures, finally got it to work. we are leaving tomorrow for fishing. hope you are having a wonderful time, will miss you at the cabin. everyone here is good. looking forward to seeing more pictures

Smith World Travelers
I love all the photos! I am very jealous, so the photos are a great way that I can live vicariously through the Smith World Travelers! Thank you for sharing and I can't wait to see pictures and hear about UAE, as well as South Africa. Have fun and be safe!

Bunny Chow!!??
Wow, it sounds like UAE and Mozambique have been a real experience! I think it would be an amazing opportunity to visit a country that is so culturally (and climatologically) different. Especially in the case of UAE. Mozambique as well. Both places looked beautiful. Success/Succeed sounds like a character. Do you think that's his given name:) You never said what's actually in the bunny chow...bunnies? Reminds me of Ginnie Pig dishes in Peru... Have fun and be safe! - Krista
