After the hustle and bustle of Bangkok for nearly a week, we decided to get some exercise and spend a day cycling. We decided to do a tour with Absolute Explorers and catch a train to the countryside. The guide was fantastic, having spent nearly a near cultivating the local villagers/monks/head man/school which made for a really good welcome where-ever we went. Even the local food sellers on the train were friendly and we tried a rice dish wrapped in a banana leaf.
A schoolgirl came with us, and the Headman greeted us. Clive was asked to give an impromtu speach at the monthly farmers gathering. (They loved him!)
All in all, I think we cycled 15 miles - at our own speed - but it was hot.
