Liverpool is pretty great, especially as it prominently displays its famed musical roots - you can see Beatles references all over the place! Its people are friendly and very fashionable, and the shopping is great (too bad I have neither money nor space in my backpack). Based solely on the architecture though, it's kind of like every other city...nothing particularly special.
Surprise, surprise - it's been raining since I got here! Well, not all the time, but the weather is so unpredictable that you never know what's gonna happen from one minute to the next! I walked around yesterday afternoon, and hung out with a French girl living in Milan last night. She was only in town for a day to do something at the University, so today I walked around some more, and visited the 'Beatles Story', which is a really fun museum tracing the famous band back to its roots in this city.
I'm taking a ferry tomorrow morning to the Isle of Man to visit Katie - I'm pretty excited to see her, seeing as the last time was four years ago when I visited Prague! On Monday morning, I'll be catching a flight to Belfast, where I'll stay for a few days, and then I'll go down to Dublin.
I'm hoping to have some time (and internet access) this weekend so that I'll be able to post more photos. I can't believe I've only been travelling for three weeks....I've seen so much that it feels like a few months have already gone by!
