Now that I'm winter break I have no papers to write and no tests to study for. This is precious time that must be utilized. I want use this time to seek The Lord. I plan, at this very apropos time of year, to understand how I can further God's kingdom. I want to be bold for The Lord, show everyone I know and everyone I meet that he is our only hope. I want to understand Him and learn how to show others the how much they need Him. Only through Jesus can we find meaning in life and joy after death. What does this mean you may ask. Well, let me ask you something? Is anyone on this Earth perfect, not done anything wrong in their whole life? Of course not, like the Bible says, 'All have sinned and fallen short of God's glory' (Romans 3:23). It goes further to tell us that because we are imperfect, we are unworthy of being in the presence of God, since he is perfect, 'The wages of sin is death' (Romans 6:23). But, we have a to be with God after death. It is a free -FREE- gift of eternal life, 'the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ' (Romans 6:23). How did God make this gift possible. Since we must pay for our sin, God paid it instead. He sent his son Jesus Christ to die and pay that debt for us. What a loving God!! That's how much he cares about us, he allowed his one and only son to die so that we could live. But Jesus didn't stay dead, he conquered death and rose again to return to his Father. Each one of will stand before Him after death to be judged. Unless we are blameless, we will be denied access to heaven. When Jesus asks you, why should I let you into heaven, what will you say? I think most people will say, "I've been a pretty good person in life." But he will say, "You must be perfect to attain heaven, and since you are not, you must pay the penalty for sin." What then? Simply put: eternity in punishment. Many ask, why would a loving God send people to Hell? Well, He is not sending you to Hell because he doesn't love you, it's because you don't love Him. He made a way for us to be with Him forever, but you must accept Him. You must believe He did what He said He did. Then when you reach judgement, you may respond, "I have been a sinner, but You Lord Jesus paid the price for my sin and You made me perfect in God's sight. Thank you." We will all die and we will all be judged, are you ready?
