. As the parks name suggests this park is mainly show, not rides. A good place to start, in getting into the flow of being at Disney. Another favourite show was the extreme car races. A rev heads dream or a mother's nightmare, watching men going really fats, skidding, burnouts, jumps and shooting. It was pretty cool though. Same as indi, they would shoot a scene then explain how they are able to pull it all off. We now know a few tricks they do to pull off those car crashes. The honey I shrunk the kids playground was magical. I tell you what, Disney no how to bring the child out in everyone. You can’t help wanting to play in the playground as well. Which cam and I did. Giant ants, t ants, t ants, paper clips, film cans, etc, inspire your imagination. After spending time at the park it was off to explore more areas. We did a tour of the back lot of Disney even saw some ships from return of the Jedi. Lauren and I also saw this really fantastic little mermaid show, it’s hard to describe the puppets glowed in the dark and we were squirted with water, blown with wind, had bubbles fall on us and stars appear above us. Another ride the kids absolutely loved was the shooting 4d toy story arcade game, it was soo cool.
The last rides of the day were cams rollercoaster ride. Which he enjoyed, but he shied away from the tower of terror. Which he later regretted, I told him he would
. We also went on a great movie ride were we were on a train moving through famous movie sets, some were acted out by actors and some models were used. There were gangster movies, horror movies, romance movies and westerns. We realized how magical this place is, you just can’t help smiling and being blown away by the quality and thought put into these rides to entertain you
We left the park at around 10.30 and were back at the resort 10min later, the kids still full of energy hit our little pool near our room for 30min, then it was showers and bed for all, as we were up early for our next park EPCOT, as this day was going to be a long one 13 hours. 8am to 9.30pm.
will write the next entries tom as we drive to kennedy space museum
ps the launch was beyond anything you could imagine.
Day one of Disney, after switching hotels great move and being fairly well rested, it was off to Disney Hollywood studios. We went on the day were resort guests had an extra 3 hours of park time in the evening. So when the park closed at 7pm we stayed until 10pm. The first ride was the star wars simulation not bad. After each ride the ride conveniently exits straight into their gift shop, this is for all the rides. After this it was to the Indiana stunt show. Wow this was great, lots of explosions and stunts they even pulled about 10 people from the crowd to be extras. The show follows key points in the first indi movie. After each scene they explain how the stunts work, very informative. Then it was off to go on other rides. As this was our first park we forgot about the fast passes. These passes allow you to go straight on ride at an allocated time. After now have completed three parks we are fast pass pros. Due to our inexperience on the first day the most popular ride the toy story ride all the fast passes were gone for the day, so we left this ride for the end of the day, so that we could wait without missing on anything else
