Wow, we are finally on our way. As I write this, we are about an hour out of Narita International, Japan.  Nearly half way to the USA - The flight was pretty good, with a little turbulance during the night to keep things interesting for Charmayne and stop her relaxing completley lol.  She held up pretty well considering her inner terror ! - we are all really proud of her.  It helped that she had to reassure Lauren a bit I think.  Sean sat next to the window, then me with Lauren and Char across the isle.
Sean and Myself loved the take off, while the girls not so much. After the routine settled in though, ie a nice meal of chicken and mushroon sauce, some Ashaka (sp ?) Japanese Beer things quitened down ad we all tried to get some sleep.  Lauren was the only one who succeeded, as She was able to lie flat across two seats and have her head on Chars lap.  For her the 9 1/4 hour flight was only 3 hours long !! Sean dozed off for about 4 hours, but had broken sleep on and off.  He was conviently draped across my legs as I tried to give him a flatish surface from which he could continuosly either stretch, try and turn or wake up from.  Hes pretty tired now, and we still have a long way to go.... They were both soo excited about the meals - all those little packets and different courses on one tray.  Everytime they found a new thing they were calling out across to each other about it.  "Wow Lauren, Look a bread roll."  "I know Sean ! - laugh of joy"
As for Char and Me, well no sleep yet, just fitfull dozing as the engine noise and small amounts of bumping (turbulance) all night kept waking us up.  My eyes feel like sandpaper already ! so it will be some Murzine (sp ?) sore eye drops when we land I think for both of us.  Its an all nighter already ... geez.
Well we have begun our decent proper now, so I will sign off.  We have about 6 hours in transit at the airport, so no doubt there will be another blog to follow from there.
