Here's all the background goss about me and my (hopefully!) big trip.
WHO
Name: Camille Mansell
DOB: 7/5/79 (I always like getting emails - especially Happy Birthday ones!)
From: Colignan, Victoria, Australia (barely even a speck on the map but close to Mildura if you can find it) but have been in Melbourne for the past 7 years studying and working to save a dollar.
Career: For 9 more days I'm a Marketing Officer.
Course studied: Bachelor of Business (Marketing) at RMIT University, however it didn't really help me much in my job!
Family: Mum Julie, Dad Robert, Brothers Ben (22) and Sam (17) and sister Kate (20)
Other interesting things:
* Lived at college (The Student Village) for 4 years, meeting lots of other country boys and girls.
* Have been doing kickboxing for almost 3 years, although I don't have a fight record (not yet anyway!)
* Started studying Spanish to help me on the road in South America.
* Have only previously travelled overseas to Thailand (for 3 awesome weeks in 2002).
I move back home for a month after finishing up here at work for a month of family, catch up, sun, sand and waterskiing! My aim is for a tan worthy of Brazilian beaches.
WHAT
A trip around the world to see some interesting things and meet lots of interesting people. Also, as my introduction states, a quest to find the perfect kisser.
WHY
Basically to avoid work for as long as possible and because there is so much more to see and do out there. I'm also rather fond of accents and kissing boys.
WHERE
America, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, England, Ireland ....???
WHEN
Tuesday 20 January is the departure date with an expected 10 days in America, 6-7 months in South America and ?? in Europe. No return date yet, it all depends on how long my funds hold out and whether I have to work to earn some cash.
HOW
I have a oneworld 5 continent fare that is getting me to most of the listed places and giving me some free flights within continents to jet about when the bus gets too much. I'm also going to try and use some common sense and lateral thinking on the circuit, however that could prove too much like work.
THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!!!! (and has been on for ages)
