Well, Christina got up early and I took her to the airport by 4:30 a.m. Fairbanks time to catch her flight for home.  She arrived home by 11:30 p.m. Syracuse time. After dropping her off I went back to the hotel to catch a few more zzz's before having the whole day ahead of me as my flight didn't leave until 9:40 p.m. Fairbanks time.

After leaving the hotel, the first stop was to drop off some "stuff" that Christina had accumulated but that we didn't have room for in the suitcases at the Rescue Mission. Then I went to the beautiful (and large) Fairbanks Library to catch up on my email and check on my flights and her progress across the country.  From there I went to the Arctic Supercomputing Center demonstration at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. They only do this on Wednesday afternoons in the summer (times change in the fall).  It was very fascinating to see what the computer could do and to view the graphics with 3-D glasses.  After that it was a quick bite for lunch and then onto the Georgeson Botantical Garden at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.  As you will see the flowers were beautiful.

My last adventure in Alaska was to have dinner with Christina's friend Ben. We went to Chili's Restaurant.  It was then finally time to head home.  My long flight through Minneapolis and JFK put me back in Syracuse on August 13th about 2:30 p.m. Syracuse time.

Great trip and great memories.  If you ever get the chance to go to Alaska you really should go!
