We spent one day at Lake Tahoe and loved it.  The Iversons took us up there for the day.  We left from Reno and I am amazed at how far up in the mountains this lake is.  I am not sure of the elevation but is at a very high altitude.  The water was just as blue as they say.  I believe that they dont permit two stroke boat motors in the water to preserve the color of the lake.  There were many rocks to jump off of.  It was terrifying to do some of the jumps because you really couldnt tell how deep the water was and there were big rocks around you.  Wade took me to a spot where you started running down the rock and then you jumped but you had to make sure that you jumped out far enough or else you would hit the rock you jumped off of. You also couldnt jump too far or to the sides because of other rocks.  I wish I could have taken a picture of the area you had to jump into, the problem was to get to that point where you could take a picture you were already committed to jumping in.  It was a great experience and the water is great there.  It is nice to be on a smaller beach that has pine trees around and huge rocks to provide shade.  I hope that we can make it back there.  I would love to play the golf course there too.  There is mainly pine trees in the mountains surrounding the area.
