My family's house
Here I am finally at my family's home in Bad Windsheim, Bavaria, Germany. We don't plan on doing anything today because my jet lag is horrible. We just finished exchanging Christmas gifts and I think for the rest of the day I will just lazy around.I wish I had had my camera for the drive from the airport because there were many things to take pictures of. We drove by lots of lovely German countryside, fields and hills as far as the eye can see. And there were a few little German villages. (Something interesting my dad told me on the way: the tallest point of most German villages is the steeple of the church.)
As we drove along I saw a sign for some town called Ausfahrt.
Ausfahrt
Strange name, I know. I thought nothing more of it until we past two more signs for Ausfahrt. I thought it must be a bigger city than I thought. We drove on. And I saw more and more signs for Ausfahrt! So I decided to ask my dad. Turns out Ausfahrt means exit... I felt like a dummy. But apparently there is a really touristy t-shirt that says. "Where the heck is Ausfahrt." I think I want that shirt.Nothing else really to say about the drive other than it was fun going 90 miles per our without the fear of getting pulled over.
