Our second trip to Klang started with a car ride to the newly built city of Putrajaya which was built specifically to house all the government buildings.  From there we drove to Melaka, an old Portuguese colony with gorgeous buildings and the old fort.  We were there on a Sunday, and were lucky enough to see a traditional Malaysian marriage in the old town.  There were street performers, musicians, and of course the beautiful bride and groom.  Melaka has many museums housed in heritage buildings.  The one we went to had a lot of Malaysian history and culture, and most interestingly, a "beauty" section that contained various forms of body mutilation done in the name of beauty.

The rest of the time was spent with family - playing cards, making rasa malai, learning what vegetarian non-veg means (vegetarian food that tastes just like meat - it even has the right texture), and one of favourite things...going to the night market!  The soyabean drinks, satays, corn on the cob, and BBQ buns are second to none.  As is the experience of the bustling market.

We had a wonderful time in Malaysia, and after traveling for over four months it was very nice to see family and get so pampered!
