We left around 11am on Thursday to head towards Kansas City. Left a little later than we had hoped, but with 2 toddlers, what can you expect. The girls did great on the drive, it took around 7 hours to get there
. Stopped at Chads brothers new house and let the kids run around with their cousins for a while. Called it an early night, everyone was exhausted. The next day we went to Chads grandparents farm in Kansas. The girls loved the farm, they had an Easter egg hunt for them, and let them ride around in the tractor. Both had bruises, scratches, and blood shed, so you can bet they had fun! Around 7pm, they started having meltdowns, so I took them back to Chads parents in Kansas city to put them to bed. Saturday was a lazy day. I stayed at Chads parents with the kids to try and get them on somewhat of a normal schedule, at least for one day! That night Chad and I went out to Kobe's with his brother and wife, and her sister. Everyone was able to catch up on each others lives, we very rarely get to see Chads family.
Sunday was church and the long drive back to Kentucky. The girls looked so cute in their Easter dresses! Ansley took a big fall before church and pictures, so she had a nice big wound below her left eye. Rounded everyone up after church was over and left around 2pm, that put us home around 11:30pm. Long trip, but I believe everyone had a great time!
Last week we had a major family rode trip. I was able to squeeze in a couple of days of writing, but got caught up with life after Tuesday. So Wednesday we stayed at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis. Ive stayed at a lot of places in my life, and this is the best hotel Ive ever stayed in so far. It has a resort feel to it, and the facilities that are offered are way beyond normal hotels. I loved the floor to ceiling windows. If you stay, try and stay on the top floor, overlooking the river. They have an indoor pool, nothing big, I would call it modern. The girls had so much fun, splashing around, and jumping off the sides. Later we dined at the sports restaurant at the hotel. Really neat restaurant, TONS of flat screens, and the food was excellent. Thursday morning we had the breakfast buffet, again incredible!
