First off HUGE! thunder storm last night when staying in Calais the rain was bouncing off the ground and lighting was flashing all overthe place. Woke up ar 6:45 for some reason had a shower and went for a wander around Calais on my own was really nice with the sun rising so i decided to take a few photos and got a croissant for breakfast. Went back to the hotel for a bit then went out to get tickets for the train to Paris. The first train was a double decker thing and being uneducated in such things i thought it was really cool. Spent an hour in lille and ordered lunch in french... sort of. Got a TGV to Paris and then wandered around looking for the hostel and getting lost it took 1.5 hours to get to the hostel which was only 2km from the station oops. I've had a a shower and fed my internet addiction for the day by making the 1st version of this post. The room i'm in has a great view overlooking a small park. Had an amazing meal from a quaint little french sandwich shop called subway ok not very authentic i know but i just wanted something quick and simple. the plan for tomorrow is to do a walking tour of  Paris and scale the eifful tower and maybe hire some bikes and cycle along the Seine.
