This is what happened yesterday. This is Vic. We are having a great time so far. The flights were all on time and the flights were smooth and safe. The experience at the airport in Port au Prince was great. We went through customs in record time and were on the road. The only minor glitch so far is that about 10 pieces of luggage and bins are still in Fort Lauderdale. They will be here tomorrow. I am seeing several changes for the better so far. Most of those are in our accommodations and rides, but many are due to improvements in Haiti's infrastructure. The Bus we ride in was open and had no air. Our driver got a new one.It seats 30 and has air. The hotel at Mirebalais has air and television. ( The TVs don't get signals but will play DVDs.) The electricity has been on the whole time so far and the same at the airport in Port au Prince. The airport is now air conditioned. These improvements may not seem like much but they represent a huge leap in the infrastructure. The mountain road has been receiving major work in the last two years and while it would not be an acceptable road here, it is 100 times better than 2 years ago.
Thank you Father Don for introducing us to this opportunity. See the pictures in the album. More thumbnails ...

I'm very grateful to hear anything from y'all. I got the phone call that everyone had arrived safe, but this log entry is welcome.
Cheryl, I saw a Baltimore Oriole on our feeder today. No hummingbirds yet. I'm going to change the nectar tonight.
I'm keeping your mission team in my prayers. God's will be done.
Daniel
