Woke up to the best weather in a week and Mother's Day. I went early to get 1/2 priced tickets to a Broadway play in Times Square only to find out not available until 3pm. I took subway to Battery Park to meet Mary and Boys to catch the Ferry to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Great day to go on a ferry with the skyline of New York in the background. Very impressive to visit the Statue of Liberty on a sunny day. Toured Ellis Island where most of the information and museums explain the immigrant journey. Learned that 1st and 2nd class passangers were able to be cleared by customs in their on ship cabins all other had to go through Ellis Island. It could take days to get through Ellis Island, standing in line to be oked by doctors and immigration officials. Men needed to show they would not be a burdan on the state by being able to read in their launange and have at least $25 dollars. Woman needed to be picked up by husban or relatives or some got married just to get into the country.

We then took Ferry back to Manhattan, subway back up to Times Square for or 1/2 priced Mary Poppins Broadway Play. Early dinner a Johnnys "No slices" Pizza restaurant. Then off to Mary Poppins, great play for whole family. After play we tried to figure out how to get back to Jersey City, arrived to RV at 10:00pm.
