Morning started out cloudy and rainy. We stopped by the Amish farm store across the street. We bought fresh picked asparagus, apple cider and homemade jam. Then drove through more of the beautiful Amish farms on our way to Erin and Rebbecca's Farm. A tourist farm to show the Amish way of life, restaurant and ice cream store. We took a buggy ride with a real Amish farmer who explained the Amish was of life. The kids go to school from 1-8 grade in a one room school, after 8th grade the kids start to work on the farms. The Amish usually do not hook up to electricity, telephone and city water. They get up with the sun and go to bed with the sun, usually ending the day working on their personal gardens. They typically only buy essentials which they can not grow or make, such as coffee, sugar, flour. They use propane for their refractors, heat and BBQ and stove. IT seems like a great way of life a bit slower than living in the city.
We drove towards Philly to stop at Campingworld to get our oil changed and to pick up more TP. We detoured 2 miles to Delaware to check it off our map. When we arrived at our campground we noticed our front tire going flat, again it was the tire stem leaking. AAA came and fixed the tire during a light rain while we watched.
