We arrived at Williamsburg early and toured the Governors Palace and the entire city.  We toured the Williamsburg Governors Palace which housed the English Governor and Virginia's first Governors.  After the English Governor was chased of town in 1775, Patrick Henery (Give me Liberty or Give me Death) was the First Governor of Virginia in 1776 and Thomas Jefferson was the second Governor.

The Town of Williamsburg is a great historical city recreated to show how people lived during the lat 1800's.  We also toured the House of Burgas half of which was like our House of Representatives.   After seeing cabinet makers, black smiths, shop keepers etc. Mike and Mary joined the town folk to march to the Palace and hear a speech by George Washington.   Mike decided to dress up in the period costume and had a great time.

We drove west towards Charlottesville, VA to the KOA.  A great KOA in the Hills near Monticello, beautiful dogwood trees.
