Oahu-Honolulu (The Gathering Place)

Watched as we came into port to see Diamond Head, beaches, resorts and hula greeters. Called Enterprise to pick us up, and they rushed us so we could get to the Arizona Memorial fast to get our timed ticket for the movie & boat ride. There was no talking allowed inside the Memorial, but we did get to point to each other as we saw some oil in the water that was leaking from the submerged ship.

Headed off to drive by the King Kamehameah Statue, Ilolani Palace, State Capitol, Waikiki Beach and then returned the car. The Aloha Tower Marketplace is filled with shops, entertainers and restaurants. Since Don Ho passed away a day before we got there, we stopped by Don Ho's Grill for an appetizer.

For next time...walk the Diamond Head area and visit the Dole Plantation.

Caught The Halau Hula Olana Folkloric Show...the children were amazing!
