The Gameplan

After much planning to date, the upcoming adventure has firmed up to look like this.
We will leave on a Saturday afternoon in July and fly the "red eye" to Heathrow, landing around 7am. We will deplane and groggily make our way to another gate for our connection to FCO, where we land just before 1 pm Rome time. I figure about an hour to retreive bags, get through customs and make our way to the Leonardo Express to Tremini. A short cab ride or walk to our apartment, where we hopefully check in around 4 pm.
We will spend the next 6 nights based in Rome, depart Saturday morning, via train, to Florence and stay 2 nights. On Monday we will depart Florence, again via train, and head for Venice. We will stay based in Venice for 3 nights, and depart from Venice on Thursday morning for the long, all day 2 stop back to home.
