I was on my way to Brussels from Paris to prepare for my flight home in two more days, but while on the train, I met a gentleman who was going home to Brussels after touring on his bike in south of France, because it started to rain.  We had some great discussions, and the one I remember most was about his experience as a young man when the US and Brits started their bombing runs in Germany.   He said he jumped up and down with happiness when he saw hundreds of planes on their way to Germany, because he knew that was the beginning of the end of the war.

I also asked him if he could recommend a place to visit in Belgium for a day, and he suggested Brugge (pronouned Broosh), so when we arrived in Brussels, I bought a ticket to Brugge.

These are the pictures I found on Brugge.
