MAY 23: We're now approaching the end of our tour that began in Denver, and concluded in Las Vegas with our farewell dinner at the TI steak restaurant.

We saw so many interesting places and awesome sites on this tour, I can't begin to absorb the enormity of this "grand" tour directed by my old friend, Jack Fricano, whom I met 15-years ago in Australia as my Tour Director.   We've kept in touch all these years, and except for both of us having a little more grey in our hair, Jack still looks the same in every way.

If anyone were to ask "what was the highlight of this journey," I wouldn't know how to answer that, because most of our experiences were first rate.

We traveled some 2,700 miles on a new bus, and our driver, Curt, was an expert driving through all the many different terrains and curves high up in the mountains of South Dakota and Wyoming.

What I appreciated was that with our group of 44-passengers, everybody was always on time for departure.

To summarize the points of interest, here's the list:
Denver: 16th Street Mall, Denver Art Museum, Molly Brown House/Museum, Denver Botanic Garden, state capitol building, Union Station, Denver public library, and some good restaurants.
We also saw the musical, WICKED.
Rapid City, Black Hills of South Dakota, Crazy Horse Monument, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Tatanka, Bighorn Mountains, Little Big Horn Battlefield, Cody, Buffalo Bill Historical Center, NE entrance to Yellowstone National Park, Old Faithful Geyser, West Yellowstone, Yellowstone Canyon, Lower Falls, Mammoth Hot Springs, Grand Teton National Park, float trip on the Snake River, Jackson Hole, Salt Lake City, Bryce Canyon, total eclipse on May 20, Zion National Park, Lake Powell cruise, flight to Monument Valley, Grand Canyon National Park, Seligman AZ, and Las Vegas.  All done from May 7 to May 24 with some nice travel companions from Australia, England, Scotland, and all across the US who added to the enjoyment of this journey of a lifetime.

The reason I personally enjoyed visiting Seligman, AZ, is that back in the early 60's, I drove from Los Angeles to Chicago on Route 66.

Besides, during our farewell dinner in Las Vegas, the wine flowed freely.

I have to add this advise for people considering this trip; the value can't be beat.  I've checked on the price of accommodations on this trip plus the food included (all breakfasts, some lunch and dinners), and found the value unbeatable.  Go Globus!

So, here's the last group of pictures from this journey.  Hope you enjoyed trailing along this mammoth trip!
