Considering the late night/early morning we had for our arrival here – neither of us feel that shattered. Time to get some breakfast before commencing with the day's activities.  We’re staying all inclusive, so all food & most drinks are included.  Breakfast was very good; hot & continental buffet - & plenty of it! Time for the bacon (I know it’s wrong, but you can’t beat the smell of it!).  After breakfast we went to meet the man who dropped off our hire car.  We had a little black Peugeot 107 (no way that will stay clean for long!).  Time to head off & do some of the touristy things, first stop Lindos.  This was the first time we’d seen the hotel properly & impressions so far very clean, quiet & friendly.

We drove over to Lindos, about 10 minute drive around the bay – the road out of the bay where our hotel is winding & steep  -son’t think we’ll be walking out of here lol.  On the way to Lindos, we pulled over to a parking bay to get some photos looking down on Lindos, very good view – can’t wait to go & explore! Once at Lindos, it was difficult to find a parking space – very crowded with cars & coaches.  Nevertheless, we found a space, but had a reasonable walk down in to the town.  We started to walk through the narrow cobbled streets to get to the Acropolis.  Wow, the walk to the top was long (& seemed longer in the sun!) We declined to go up by mule lol.  I got some good pictures of the bay as we were climbing up the path.  At the top, plenty of historical monuments with the information to read – very interesting! I spent a fair bit of time absorbing all the information.   We headed back down & got some fresh orange juice to drink (soooo nice!).

We then headed back to the car & back to the hotel for some lunch (think I will be over-dosing on feta this holiday!).  Time for an afternoon nap, then exploring our local beach for the remainder of the afternoon.  Our little beach was only about 100m from the hotel entrance, but was pebbley – a bit painful getting in and out of the water lol.  We saw lots of different fishes in the water while we were swimming – The water was lovely and warm & very inviting – we easily spent a good couple of hours in there before heading back to the hotel to get ready for dinner.

Dinner was very good, nice selection of meats and vegetables (yet more Feta!).  After dinner we went for a walk to see what was in the vicinity of our hotel – the answer not a lot, although they had a small supermarket where I got a head scarf, as I’m not a hat person.

We went back to the hotel pool bar to have a drink & watch the entertainment, which tonight was music with Filippo.  Filippo on the poster looked very different to the Filippo we saw.  Filippo was a one man band singing along to a backing tape (aaarrrggghhh!).  I asked the barman what he had for non-alcoholic cocktails, vodka lemonade????? I got the vodka lemonade (very generous with the vodka) needless to say I slept very well that night!
