This isn't gonna be one of the most interesting entries I've written on this trip, mainly due to the fact I've been laying low and on antibiotics for much of my time Krabi; the exception being one day where I hired a motorbike for the day to see some of the sights slightly out of Krabi Town.
The first place I drove to was Wat Tham Seau (Tiger Cave Temple), one of South Thailand's most famous temples apparently. Not much different from some of the many temples I've seen to be honest. Amongst the site there was a walkway up to a Buddha on the top of the hill, which would have given some great views. However, it was midday and to get to the top was over 1000 steps (apparently). That was enough to put me off to be honest, so I just stayed down the bottom and watched all the monkeys being...well....cheeky monkeys. They were trying to steal food from the tourists, then swinging up the trees and vines on the cliff face. Pretty cool actually.
After the temple I hit the road. I drove into the countryside to Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, where I visited the Huay To waterfall, which has 11 tiers. It was pretty impessive, and I did my best to get some pics even though my digital camera screen is broken (the 3rd broken camera so far). After the waterfall I went to Khao Pueng Caves, which had some impressive stalagtites and stalagmites.. not sure which is which, help me out Baulchy. I got a bit spooked by the damn bats in there, as they flew out, nearly taking my head off! That was pretty much all I did in my time in Krabi, other than get a demon haircut from a Thai woman that couldn't speak English. I decided to leave her to it, and it came out ok! I also read some books... that's right... books!!! What the hell has happpened to me?????
