Ok, so after a delayed flight to Kota Bharu, and a taxi drive to the quay in Kuala Besut, I jumped on a speed boat to take me to the Perhentian Islands.  I've been told by many people along the way that these islands are meant to be amazing.  They weren't wrong!
There isn't much to do here other than lie on the beach and sunbathe in the day, but I guess that suffices!  This is my 3rd day so far, and I've hardly done a thing.  Just got back from a jungle walk across the island, though I didn't see any monitor lizards (Lonely Planet is wrong again... sigh).  The place I am staying at (Rock Garden)  is best described as basic.... read cheap.  Its an old wooden chalet that has a double bed, mosquito net and balcony.  It really is all I need though.  Having said that, the showers/toilets aren't exactly nice but for 20RM I guess I can't complain.

All the sunbathing has tired me out in the evenings so I've been sleeping a fair amount too.  I guess this is the closest I've been to a holiday during my travels.  It's kinda nice but I feel like I'm being too lazy.

Anyway, not much else to report due to my lack of activity.  I'll let photos do the talking instead....
