The journey to KL was certainly an interesting one. First up, the Cambodian Passport Control guy decided to try and chat me up. The, in the departure lounge some Cameroonian guy started chatting to me and telling me how he was being deported, and if that did happen he was going to try and crash the plane. Not a great idea, as I told him! The flight was easy, and I soon got to Pacific Regeny Hotel, where I met up with Baulchy!!!
Really good to see him again, and we headed straight to the pool-side roof-top bar. So nice! You can see the KL Tower and the Petronas Towers from the hotel. We ended up hving a pretty big night with his work crew, ending up in Aloha bar. It was so strange for me as it was a) expensive, and b) the people seemed to have attitude. It's not something I'm used to these days! Still, had a cool night. Yesterday we went up the KL tower, which had some cool views of the city. We were both struggling though, so we didn't too much more. I'm not sure there's too much to see here anyway. We went to some of the Plaza's, and I bought my 3rd digital camera! Then we all went to the pool and had some beers and played some cards. We made it to Legends (not the teeny-bopping and chav paradise) to watch the Arsenal-Liverpool game. How crap are Arsenal! There was a darts competition going on there, and once that was done some of the boys played. Baulchy was chuffed with his 70 check-out (70 and bull). We ended up in Beach Club last night, which turned out to be one of the more seedier clubs in town due to the number of expats (and their philipino 'friends'). We got quite trashed and headed back about 2.30am. Not done much today either, other than a bit more shopping, seeing a fashion show in one plaza, and the boys buying remote-control helicopters. They'll be tested later! I'm off to the Perhentian Islands tomorrow for some R&R, before coming back for the Grand Prix. Sweet as a nut.
