Ok ok, so we got to Sunday on 2nd November not really knowing what we were doing so we jumped in a shuttle and made our way to Bondi Beach. The plan was to stay there to relax for a bit but the weather hasn't been great so we moved into Sydney Central to be closer to the action. Bondi is beautiful but if it isn't over 30 degrees there isn't much point!

The first nigt in Sydney we managed to find an indie club - World Bar - which was quality as we got to listen to some decent music. Kasabian never sounded so sweet... It was good until I got kicked out for no apparent reason other than being mildly wasted! I think I jumped in a cab and I ended up chilling on Bondi with some random aussies. That came to an end when one of them started to talk about religion - I made a quick exit before I got angry!!

The second day was pretty much a day of rest.

Saturday was quality. Went for a wander in the morning with Simon down to Darling Harbour, but that was just a wake up walk. The big event was the rugby League - GB vs Oz. We were in a pub up near Aussie Stadium pre-game sinking a few Tooheys, Carltons, VBs... then headed into the ground. It is an awesome stadium, even though it wasn't sold out. The game was pretty good, a few fights and a victory for GB. The Aussies are such bad losers and kept saying "Poms, you'll never win the Ashes". I pointed out we won the Rugby World Cup, beat them in the Ashes, won the Rugby League and are better at football.... That went down well!

The night continued and we ended up in Scruffy's, which is 24hr. Bad news.... Slept until 4.30 this afternoon. Going for a $7 steak i a sec with Ad, Si and some Canadian military man on a break from Afghanistan!

We leave Sydney tomorrow (we need to!) for Nexwcastle and the rest of the east coast!

Good result!
Dad watched the highlights of the match yesterday, but I couldn't possibly comment further! Sounds as if Sydney could prove to be a 'dangerous' place after your NZ life style! Reckon I also need to say stay IN the clubs Chris! Take care, Mum & Dad xx
