We stopped on the way to FJ at the Bushman centre where we were told about the NZ deer industry and shown a video of people jumping out of helicopters onto deer to catch them. Honestly the video has sooo funny and I wish I could have got a copy. My laughter didn't go down too well with some of the girls though as they thought it was cruel. They'll get over it!! We ate brekkie too, and I was the only person to buy a Possum Pie. It tasted a bit odd and I wouldn't buy it again, but it was worth a try.
The evening in Franz was a relaxed one, mainly involving sitting in a hot tub for a few hours!!! We had to be up early so we hit the sack to rest up for our 8-hour glacier hike.
The hike itself was unique and I'm so glad we did it. Its one of the must-do things in New Zealand, and it was a great experience. The only propblem was that it rained all day so a few people were moaning, but it was just a case of getting on with it!
The night was spent in the hot tub to start with, then we went out for the night. I got back to my room and there was some random bloke in my bed that Ad had said could stay on the floor. A bit random really!! Needless to say I kicked him out!
