We left Wellington early doors to catch the ferry across from North Island to South Island. Again, me and Ad were quite happy to leave Wellington as we didn't think it was a particularly great city, although it was a shame to leave the girls behind. We spent our last night there getting pissed in Bohdi's (coach driver)room.
The ferry across is rough. It took 4 hours but for almost an hour of it I was struggling. I took my mind off it by watching Charlton vs Fulham. Chin up Dowie!!! Oh yeah, we had a fry-up on the ferry. Awful. The big problem with NZ is that they have rubbish bacon and sausages - a much discussed issue amongst travellers!
The scenery was nice arriving into the quaint town of Picton. We didn't stay long, as we headed to Nelson where we climbed to the centre point of NZ, played football on the first rugby pitch in NZ and then had a few beers with some locals listening to a pretty good acoustic guitarist.
