In March 2008 I made it back to Varanasi as part of my ill-fated Honeymoon. Check out my entries which begin here. I've been told they make for better reading than this crap below, which I tend to agree with!

Varanasi is one of the holiest cities in India. Seeing the worshipers bathe in the river and bodies being cremated at the various ghats along the river was amazing. One of the highlights of the few days we spent in Varanasi was an early morning trip on the river to see the sun rise. As a good jumping off point for Nepal, Varanasi is somewhere I could quite easily visit again.
