***************************************** Update - April 2008 ****************************************
You might want to check out part of my 2005/2006 Meandering2005 blog where I was lucky enough to revisit Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand, and my ill-fated 2007/2008 Honeymoon blog where I managed to get back to parts of India.
***************************************** Update - April 2008 ****************************************
A year to go around the world! A whole twelve months of scenes and curious happenings in far-off foreign lands. You have thought of doing this, almost promised yourself that when you got old enough, and rich enough, and could "spare the time," you too would go around the world. Most of us get old enough; some of us get rich enough; but the time! the time! - to spare the time, to cut loose from goods and lands, from stocks and dreary desks, quit clients, patients, readers, home and friends - ay, and our enemies whom we so dearly love! Full many a promise must be broken and few the voyagers round the world
- D.N. Richardson, A Girdle Round the Earth, 1888
Hello and welcome to my Travelogue detailing myself and B's Round the World trip. There's not much to read in this introduction... the good stuff is inside.
I should say that this is a retrospective look at our trip as I discovered Travelpod, and thus created this Travelogue, after the trip ended. That goes some way to explaining the lack, or complete absence, of text in some of the entries. But a picture paints a thousand words so you should find sufficient pictorial evidence to supplement the entries.
For those new to the site, it couldn't be easier to use; you simply click on the entries listed at the bottom of each Travelogue page or on the location map-pin seen on any of the maps displayed. Within each Travelogue entry you will find a photo album which houses, surprise surprise, photos.
If you couldn't be bothered looking through the whole thing at least pick a few entries you like the look of, or places you've been yourself, and check those out. Oh, and at the very least make sure you visit the last page where I attempt to summarise the whole trip and more.
I also posted some other pictures, including pictures of other trips, to my World is Round website, which, as of June 2005, I don't update anymore.
Finally, seen as you're in the area you might want to check out one of my other Travelogues on this site. It's always growing. But isn't that the aim?
