Kind of normal morning. Breakfast at the hotel but better than average. Packed up and took a drive around Grand Ole Opry, and then into downtown Nashville. Had hoped to do the Segway tour of the town, but officially had to be 13 to join the tour and Jasmine wasn't feeling up for it, so we continued in our way. By chance came across the Natchez-Trace parkway. Absolute gem of a road. No trucks, no towns, just rolling hills of beauty. Took it for a long way, all the way to the turnoff for Shiloh National Military Park. Bought gas and some groceries in Waynesboro, TN, and later in the day bought my next tank of gas in Waynesboro, MS. Didn't think to keep receipts, and not many think it was as cool as I did. The civil war battlefield at Shiloh was pretty incredible. Mostly an auto tour with a map and brochure. We made the trek, stopped from time to time, and ate lunch on the way. Moving place. Afterwards we pointed the car south into Mississippi and a surprise great highway all the way into Alabama near mobile. By nightfall we reached Dorene's place in Pensacola.
