Sorry a little behind on my blog updates.

Headed back to the U.S. for a business meeting in New York, but since I hadn't been back for 6 months, decided to add on a few days (and a few side trips) to make the 10,000 mile journey worth my while.  I had to fly back on KLM business classs via Amsterdam which was fine...not as good as Lufthansa, but ok.  Arrived into Dallas on Wednesday the 25th of June, rented a car and checked into a nice hotel in downtown Dallas.  Tanya popped in to see me after she got off work and brought me Chips and Guacamole from Chipotle...I was in heaven.  The next three days/nights were spent catching up with Tanya and some of my other Dallas friends, Ruben, Stace and Derek.  It was damn near orgasmic to eat good Sushi and Tex Mex again...seriously.  Went to the office on Thursday and Friday and even managed to get some work done...shocking, I know.  Sunday night the 29th I flew to NYC and checked into an even nicer hotel for a couple days.  Had meetings all day on Monday and that evening I caught up with two people I actually met in Hyderabad....Steve from and Mark H. from Deloitte.  We met for dinner/drinks in Bryant Park and drank until we were asked to leave....was good to catch up with both of them.  As the crack of dawn on Tuesday morning the 1st of July, I caught a flight down to Ft. Myers, Florida where I spent a couple days catching up with family, eating great seafood and getting some fishing in.  Caught a flight back to Dallas on early Thursday monring just in time to meet Tanya at her place and start the three hour drive north to Oklahoma to meet the parents for my dad's annual 4th of July "blast".  Tanya got a good first introduction to life in Oklahoma and may have been shocked by a few things she saw...but I think she had a good time nonetheless.  The evening of the 4th my dad wheeled out a trailer of professional grade firewords...some of which I swear must be illegal to purchase.  After an entire day of feeding and entertaining the nearly 70 people who showed up, the fireworks show went off without a hitch and the entire neighborhood was indeed impressed (as was Tanya who said it was the best she's ever seen...she compared it to the Sydney Olympics). :)  Saturday we took Tanya to a Mexican restaurant in Bricktown and then to the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial.  Sunday after a very hearty breakfast, T and I made the drive back down to Dallas where I began packing for my return to Hyderabad on Tuesday.
It was a great trip...lot's of different locations, but I definitely needed this trip.
