Week three was pretty tame....nothing much to report from a work perspective.  Work went by pretty quickly...but things are starting to pick up a bit.  More meetings, conference calls, etc.  Also as I'm taking over this new apartment soon, I have a bit of pressure on me as well to make sure everything is good to go on my last day at the Taj.   On the weekend we went out a few nights with my new friends...Friday night was Liquids and an after party at Sonny's.  Saturday I spent the day furniture shopping for my new place.  Most expats here from my company (and many other companies like Google and Dell) live in an apartment complext called Jaybehri near the office.  It's nice...and I saw a few flats there during my look-see trip..but it's in the burbs...far away from everything in the city except our office.  The biggest pro to living in Jaybehri is that everything is pretty much taken care of for you...the places come furnished, with AC, all of the appliances, packaged bills for all the extras (TV, Internet, etc), maid service, etc. etc.  They price the places high because most expats are willing to pay for the convience of living in Jaybehri.  Well...I've decided to go lone-wolf and find my own place which is going to cause some difficulties...but I think I'll be happier in the long run.  My choice is of course that one apartment that the Deloitte expat is leaving.  So is high on my list of priorities as I need a bed to sleep in and a couch to crash on.
Saturday night we met at Sonny's place and all went to Touch.  I can tell that our weekends are going to be spent at basically two clubs....Touch and Liquids.  I have yet to venture out to a place called Treasure Island...but will do so soon as it's supposed to be a fairly "interesting" after hours place.  Sunday I went over to my new apartment to meet my new landlord.  I told him I was installing 4 AC's and I think his jaw hit the floor.  I need an AC in both bedrooms (window units) and two "split" wall units which attach to the wall for my living room and office space.  Little did I know how much of a pain in the ass those split units would be...more on that in the next entry.

Week four at work was great as my friend Daniela from the Irving office was in town as was a former counselor of mine John.  I had dinner with both of them a couple nights and it was definitely good to catch up.  Work has been steadily getting busier...had a couple important meetings this week and starting to put some names to faces and hear all the opinions that I know will be fun to work around when we actually start executing this project.  This is my last week at the Taj Krishna which has been an amazing hotel.  The only gripe I have is they almost take "too good of care of you".  Meaning I was constantly getting phone calls asking if everything was all right, getting said "hi, how are you sir" to 19 times from the car park to my room door, asking me the same questions over and over again when they know I'm going to answer, etc. etc.  The pool at the Taj is wonderful and I've decided to join the Taj Club just so I can go use the pool occassionaly.

Next entry will be all about the move in process to the apartment!  In the meantime, attached are some pics of the Taj.  I'm going to miss it... :(
