If you were leaving the country the better part of two years with minimal return trips back to the U.S., where would you go your final night in the States? For me, the choice was easy...a dark, dirty, smokey bar with strong pours, angry waitresses and surprisingly good food. My home away from home in Dallas...The Loon. Together with about 10 friends, we made a night of it and somehow ended up salsa dancing at the bar which was a first for the Loon.

Many thanks to those who braved the crappy weather that night...Victoria, Munkee, Rueben, Nanda, Diana, Dipesh, David, David's date/friend, Scott and Scott's date. With six very attractive (and loud) girls at our table, we were a focal point in the bar...so much so that Big Al (radio DJ in Dallas) came by and tried to steal our women...the nerve.

Definitely going to miss my friends in Dallas. Off to India tomorrow!
