This morning before leaving Van Buren, Arkansas we took a ride downtown to the historic district where they have restored the downtown storefronts to look like they would long ago.  Some of the pictures I took will show that.

From there we headed east on I-40 to Memphis our stopping point for the day before we head to Nashville for 4 nights.  Several years ago we visited Memphis and did Graceland and the downtown area of Memphis so there wasn't anything that we wanted to see on this trip.

We found a Fairfield Inn on the East side of Memphis for the night and when we checked in and she saw we were from a little town called Freedom, I guess she thought that was unique and said she was upgrading us to a King Suite.  I took pictures of the suite as it was the best accommodations we have had on our entire trip.

Tomorrow we are taking a more scenic route to Nashville, TN than Interstate 40.  We have decided to take Highway 64 which will take usthrough more of rural Tennessee.
