I have probably been to Gatlinburg more than any other place in the U.S. It seems like I go there about once a year if not more. I have gone on trips with my family, my friends, my church youth group, my sorority for Spring Break, and even my Girl Scout Troop. It isn't the coolest place in the world but it is close and they have a wide variety of things to do. Since it is in the Smokey Mountains you can do hikes and picnics if you want to be outside. You can shop along the strip or at one of the many outlet malls. You can eat at amazing restaurants that I have never seen any where else in the world (the best is Apple Barn). You can do adventure things such as bungee jumping, alpine slides, or slingshot rides. Or you can just rent a Chalet up in the mountains and party with friends for a weekend getaway. No matter why you go to Gatlinburg or who you go with it is pretty much garunteed to be a god time.
