13th September - Labuan Bajo - Flores

After sitting in Starbucks and getting a well needed coffee, we had a kip on a bench for a bit, then went to check in.

Little did we know, even though we're still in Indonesia just on different islands the clocks were an hour forward!
We were sitting waiting for boarding and over the speaker phone came "would Philip Newsom please come to gate 15" we were all like what the hell! We went along and were the last ones to get on the plane except for one other lady... oops!

Had another nice kip on the plane and woke up just before we started to go down to land and the view was amazing, I could see loads of little islands and the blue of the sea around the edges of them was the most bright blue ever... can't wait for snorkelling!
Flores looks amazing too, there are loads of hills and mountains and its all tropical looking, lush and green.

Phil spoke to these guys that were outside and got us a car sorted out to go and find a hotel and me and Claire started speaking to a lady waiting for her bags, old Helda from Holland.
Helda shared the car with us to a couple of hotels but they were quite expensive so she carried on into the town and we got a triple room (definitely needed after that day/night of travelling! We well weren't up for squishing sideways on a double after that, a proper night's sleep's well needed!) right on the beach, it's massive and has a nice hot shower and... a tv!

Jack, the guy that took us to the hotel came back and went through what we want to see/where we want to go etc. And we've got a car booked for tomorrow to take us right the way to the other end of the island to see these crater lakes for sunrise the next day, then we come back. Then we go to Rinca island where the comodo dragons are and do snorkelling on the way back then we've got buses and the ferry booked for Lombok! Going to be a busy few days but we've not got much time left and it will be nice to see all these good bits in the last week too!
