I started taking "one on one", private Conversational Spanish lessons at 9:00am on Monday of this week.. I really had a lot of doubts and reservattions about doing this, talking to someone in Spanish and carrying on a conversation in Spanish with them..But It was really terrific, it was really great.... They say that people spend most of their time worrying about things that never happen or that they have absolutely no control over..
Why worry about anything, when you can worry about everything....
My Mexican Spanish teacher is really wonderful.
She is patient, considerate, understanding, supportative and very intuitive...
She has been teaching Spanish for 25 years..
She is from and was born in San Miguel...
A really good Spanish teacher has to have much more than just the ability to teach Spanish. They have to have many related traits, such as patience, a considerate and supportive personality and the ability to motivate people, the ability to keep them interested, understanding, etc... They know how insecure people are about learning and trying to speak a foreign language, when they are making millions of mistakes....
And they try to compensate for this insecurity......
Some of my gentle, kind, readers think that I am surrounded by young, beautiful senoritas here in Mexico. Not True... That is the Hollywood Version of Mexico. The reality is much different. My Mexican Spanish teacher is definitely nothing to look at. She is probably somewhere in her 40's or 50's..... It is very difficult to tell. She could be anywhere between 40 and 60 years old... But she does have a marvelous pérsonality.. She is the type of person that makes you feel good about yourself after you have been with her...
The "one on one" private Spanish lessons are (in my opinion) very expensive..
But I thought that I would give it a try and see what they were like and whether they suited me and how much benefit I would get out of them and whether they were worth the cost and the price, in my quest to learn to speak Spanish
Right now, I am very excited abou them and I find the exercise of speaking Spanish to someone, very exciting.. It has rekindled my interest in and movitation to learn to speak Spanish again... I took the month of Apil off from learning Spanish and I was very discourage..about my progress in learning to speak Spanish.. Now, I am on fire again,
about learning to speak Spanish,,,,
And the cost of the private lessons - it just means that there will be less money in my estate when I die, to go to my fat cat kids and their kids, my grandchildren..
I do think that the cost of the private "One on One" private Spanish Lessons are worthwhile, if some one is really interested in learning to speak Spanish.... ..
