I have had two of the walls in my living room, dining room painted in abstract art.....
- see pictures below.....
The two walls are each about 12 ft.+ high and 12 ft. long, with a 45 degree angled corner between them - not a 90 degree corner between them..
The abstract art does go around another corner onto a third wall in the living room area.
Doing this has really made me very happy, happy, happy, happy.....
I am really glad that I did this...
Every time that I walk into my room with the walls painted in abstract art,
I get a really great big smile....
It is a little bit like the really great big smile that I get
when I walk out of my bedroom and onto the terrace off of my bedroom
in my pyjamas and look around at the bright sunny day,
and wonder what it would be like being in Canada
I am enjoying myself and I am enjoying living in Mexico.....
And I feel like I am a patron of the arts now.....
With the walls of my place painted in abstract art,
my place is starting to look like a zonked out pothead`s pad.
Now if I can only get my hands on some lava lamps (not very likely in San Miguel,
but I am going to try), I can start reliving my youth, my youth that I never got to live..
I am a grandfather, but I do not feel like a grandfather..
I am not rich - but I am not poor
- it is nice to have enough money to be able to do the things that I want to do.
In University I was on a tight budget - but I still had enough money to do the things that I liked to do - like drinking...
When I was in University, my university friends agreed that it was nice to not be really poor
- that we could go out and buy a chocolate bar and a Coca Cola (I have not changed much over the years) if we felt like it, or go to a movie, etc. - and drink of course... and do other things..
Occasionally I think about taking a trip to Europe or India - which I can afford to do
- but I like living in San Miguel too much right now to really want to do that right now..
Pictures of the walls of my place painted in abstract art...
I just hope that those tentacles painted on the walls do not come alive some night and wrap themselves around me and squeeze and crush me to death - I think that I will sleep with my bedroom door shut and locked.. And I can always escape through my bedroom door to my terrace and go over the wall to the ground below..
I do not think that they will be a problem during the day - or when the lights are on..
They seem to be night creatures that like the dark - nocturnal - and they do not like the light..
And dangerous, very dangerous... And I am too young to die......
I will include pictures of my place with the furniture back in place
to give you an idea of what my abstract art wall paintings look like
in my furnished place - in a later travelogue blog......
