Mis Estimados
Amigos, Amigas,Compaņeros y Compaņeras:

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a very special little historic Spanish colonial
town, with a high impact and influence, that is high in the mountains of Central Mexico....

Easter Holidays started here in San Miguel on Sunday, March 17 - the Sunday before Palm Sunday, which is the Sunday before Easter Sunday.. March 17/Sunday coincidentally
was also St. Patrick's Day.. The celebrations include many reactments of the last two weeks of Jesus's life....There are altars all over the place..The altars that are all over the place, are a little bit like the Xmas trees that are all over the place when we celebrate Xmas in Canada....Sort of the same idea.... I haven't seen the purple and white decorations that they put up all over the place yet this year.. The white represents purity and the purple represents the pain and sorrow that the Virgin Mary felt at the death of her supposedly only son...A lot of the celebrations revolve around and are about the pain and sorrow of the supposedly Virgin Mary - I have my doubts about her being a virgin.........

The Jacarandas (pronounced Hacarandas) are coming out now - a very beautiful and pretty coloured purple flower that comes out at the end of March and are around for about a month.
The flowers are a very pretty shade of purple and they are everywhere - like dandylions are everywhere in season - except that the Jacarandas are not weeds - they are flowers - and they grow on trees and bushes.....

Some pictures of hot air ballons that I can see floating by first thing in the morning
from my bedroom window...

My Spanish classes are getting to be a real drag - I can hardly wait unti they are finished and all over with... In my Spanish Class I keep looking at the clock to see how many minutes are left and how many more minutes to go before the class is finished and ended for the day - and the hands on the clock seemed to be frozen stiff, or the clock has stopped working, because the hands just do not seem to move - it is getting to be a real torture..And then they give us Spanish Language homework - aggghhhh!!!  . I think that I am going to kill myself........

I was watching three old guys walking by my place from my balcony the other day..
There are a lot of old guys in San Miguel (maybe that is one of the reasons why I like this place),
and watching the three old guys walking by reminded me of Victoria. There are a lot of old people in Victoria.. That is one of the reasons that I never cared that much about Victoria, when I lived in Vancouver in the 1970's....tooooo many old people... But I do not seem to mind having a lot of old people around now as much as I used to mind it.......... .

Don't stop now with the Spanish lessons!!! It could be worse, like Canada in a snow storm.
