One of my challenges in Puerto Vallarta is to not get a sunburn..
Another challege is to stay out of jail.
And another challenge is to not get killed by members of one of the Mexican drug cartels......
Note: the Mexican Police in Puerto Vallarta do not seem to have a sense of humour...
It is sunny and hot in Puerto Vallarta and I am having a great time...
Stayed at the Marriot Hotel (a 5 star hotel) for my first 5 days in Puerto Vallarta...
Was at a conference... Am not use to staying in luxury hotels like this - it is not my style
- especially the paying for it (2,000 peso´s a nite - my bill was over 10,000 peso´s
when I checked out). It is sort of fun staying at a luxury hotel occassionally - it sort of
make me feel like I am a big shot - which I am not..
The Marriot Hotel is not expensive by Canadian standards - but it is expensive by Mexican standards - and now that I am living in Mexico - I do not think in Canadian standards
- I think in Mexican standards....
I do not think that I will be doing that again........
I have checked into the Rosita Hotel (600 peso´s a nite - bill for 4 nites will be 2,400 peso´s).
Being in the Rosita Hotel really feels like I am in Mexico.... Being in the Marriot Hotel
- I felt like I was in America - which is not why I came to Mexico.
The Rosita Hotel is in downtown Puerto Vallarta, Centro, the Malecon...
It is in a great location..on the beach in downtown, old Puerto Vallarta - and,
there is a MacDonald´s just, right across the street - it is like being in Heaven....
I have noticed that there is a lot of Strip Clubs in Puerto Vallarta ( I have not gone
to any of them of course). If some one wants to get an eye full, all they have to do is walk along the beaches (which of course I do not want to do and have not done - I am
not interested in that kind of thing).. ...
