It's Grand, All Right

We keep on gliding down the hill, now there's the dam, look right, the flags are flying, something mighty here. Then tree-lined streets, and houses, neat and tidy as a pin, cross the river bridge (Columbia is tame, right here below the dam), there's where we'll stay tonight. Turn left into the parking lot, our room is ready. Park in front and haul the cooler in.
Oh look! We can see the dam from here! A patio! And then a laugh. Our patio is 1 x 3, well go outside and stand, I laugh right back
You've got it kid.
Let's go get a shirt! Let's get some ice. It's HOT, it's very HOT, we are not used to such. When will we eat? And where? What time is the show?
Back across the parking lot, the shirts are stacked, a picture of Grand Coulee Dam across the front, MY DAM SHIRT across the top. Andrew giggles at the thought of making such a statement on his chest. Alas, no sizes for the young! Only adult sizes here. We look for other souvenirs, settle for the standard thing, magnets for the front door of the fridge.
Supper in the spot next door, a walk down to the bridge, we rest, and drink our Gatorade. At last it's 10 PM, and dark, so let the show begin.
The spillways open up, the water crashes down, a roar that echos round the hills. The face of the dam turns white, above the moon is almost full
What a sight! The show is 37 minutes long, Andrew know this for a fact. What does water do? Why do we need it? Look around the barren hills, so parched and dry, then look at where the water goes, the green. You know the answer, plain to see.
Andrew claps, the show is over now, let's take our Nutter-Butters back to the room, it's getting late.
Inside, we see the dam, lights side to side, a mile across and higher than the pyramids, just across the street.
