Go with me? "The hardest thing to figure out," said a mother of two, "is what kind of camp is best for the kids. I've spent hours on the phone trying to decide." Well, I did a little phoning myself. Here are some hints for summerzone happiness; please share it with those who need to know.

Is your child or grandchild or Dennis-the-Menace neighbor kid an inny or an outy? Is he or she artistically inclined or a mud-stomping kindercat? Whatever the personality type, one of these camps should fit.

At Greenway Farm you'll find Muskrats, Beavers, and Otters exploring woods and world in three age-specific groups. Designed for five through twelve-year-olds, the littler guys study animal mysteries at the farm and hike "The Toe"; the older crew tours Raccoon Mountain's WildCave and gets a chance to climb Walnut Wall.

Hunter Museum's painting-drawing-sculpture camp offers nature study too. Classes for kids from six through eleven focus on nature in art. Children even learn how to make music with instruments fashioned from nature. And they've just added a cartooning class, a surefire stir for big imaginations.

Creative Kids and Discovery Detectives get involved in An Ooey Gooey Mess and the telling of Fish Tales at the Creative Discovery Museum. Discovery Camp themes revolve around art, music, and the sciences; classes are geared to those entering grades 1-3 and 4-6.

Most camps are weekly, with sessions running through July. And if you'd like to be a really good neighbor, invite a kid to join you for a daytime visit to one (or all) of these great community resources. You'll love it. See you there.
