Bell Buckle is home to Tennessee's Poet Laureate Maggie Vaughn and a number of sculptors; downtown boasts craft and antique stores; the town is home of Webb School, a college prep school founded in 1870, which has produced ten Rhodes Scholars and the governors of three states.

Bell Buckle Crafts sells handmade arts and crafts from the Middle Tennessee area, stoneware pottery; in a 100-year-old former bank building. Downtown Antique & Crafts Center is the business section of the 19th century village and has 14 shops and 2 malls of craft and antique stores; over 30 dealers in the 1899 Livery Stable Antique Mall; over 50 dealers in Bell Buckle Antique Mall.

Many festivals throughout the year including Daffodil Day in March, a Moon Pie festival in June, Blues to Bluegrass in August, and the Quilt Walk in September.

Stay at Liberty Pike Inn, a quaint house 2 blocks from downtown, 2 rooms, shared bath, continental breakfast, porch swing. Check out Bell Buckle Cafe, it's open every day for bar-b-q and fresh-squeezed lemonade; live country music weekend nights and Sunday afternoons; Thursday night is songwriters night; J Gregory Jamboree is live every Saturday afternoon from 1-3 PM on WLIJ 1580 AM.
