ALABAMA Fan Club and Museum has photographs, awards, and personal items that showcase the history of the homegrown country group ALABAMA; the annual June Jam brings in nationally known performers.
The Fort Payne Opera House on North Gault Avenue is open by appointment only; built in 1889 it's the oldest theater in Alabama still in use. The Fort Payne Depot is an excellent example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture with its turrets, arched windows, and heavy stone facade; inside are artifacts from several Indian tribes, farm equipment, photographs, artwork, and railroad memorabilia.
