Get up and shower now. A really funny thing. Good thing the bathroom is so tiny after all. I can't stand up for all the motion of the train, I use the hand-held shower piece to squirt a little water here and there, and laugh. And now the floor is slick.
Dressing in the dark, I hear voices in the next compartment there, they're stirring too. But Andrew hasn't heard a thing.
Get up Andrew! Let's gather all our things together now. He rubs his eyes, it isn't daylight yet
We manage though, we stuff our stuff into our bags and stack them in the hall. Daylight shows us mountains now, a lake, the trees in autumn gold, this is a heaven spot for sure.
Pull into Whitefish just on time. Goodbye train. We wheel our luggage past the smokers who jumped off to grab a puff or two. The smoke is choking thick, we gripe but love of nicotine stuffs up the ears and all the smokers ignore our pleas. Into the station now, I call the place where we will get our car. I'll be right there, he says.
It's a frosty morning here.
