The majority of Day 6 was spent in Acadia National Park. We pretty much did it all (besides the hiking). Drove the Park Loop Road - visited Sand Beach (a favorite of both my husband and I), Thunder Hole (my hubby could have stood there all day and watched and listened to it), drove to the top of Cadillac Mountain and walked a short path at the top. We also drove Sargeant Drive along Somes Sound and visited Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Also drove to Stonington to see if we could ride the mailboat to Isle au Haut - but no such luck. Wrong time of day I suppose. After that we had some time to kill and drove to Bangor -- see if we could find Stephen King's house and remarkably it was a lot easier than I thought. HA HA The evening found us driving back to Camden and trying to find a room for the night. We ended up at the only place we could find open at 10 p.m. -- The Country Inn -- and we still hadn't eaten dinner, but there was a Domino's nearby and they delivered!
